Krippenweg

We hike a lot in the summer. Not as much in the winter - mostly because I don't like being cold. But we heard about a little trail near us that made me layer everyone up and go explore. It was called the Kippenweg, literally translated "the crib path" - a more accurate translation is the Nativity Trail. Set in a nature trail 20-30 Nativity Scenes are placed in the forest along a mile & half circular trail; some on tree stumps, occasionally carved into the tree itself, others hard to find, a few out in the open.

It was one of the most enjoyable winter trails, beautiful in so many ways. Enjoy a few of my favorite photos from our walk.
