Armed with not very good directions, a full array of snacks, and our hiking boots, we set off for Oberegg. It is a quiet little mountain top village in Switzerland, one of the many in the region that still boast more sheep and cows than people. The day turned out to be a bit dreary, but it didn’t spoil the views.
We went for about 2 hours and took a snack break. I realized that with the girls we barely go 30 min before breaking out the snacks. It was quite a different pace; and my sweaty face is the proof of it.
After another hour we’d reached the summit. And it was worth the sweat (and the next day of sore thighs).
Thankfully, Adam had done some research ahead of time and located a restaurant in the village that was open so we could have lunch after.

I can't wait to move back to Texas so chili will quit having sweet corn in it. Sigh. |
After sitting for an hour, my legs were jelly, but we still had a the downward hike to complete.
Oh and some cows to visit
Adam is going to have a hard time coming up with better date day ideas when we leave here.
